Xbox360 Controllers Go Wireless

Arguably one of the best features of the Xbox360 is its controllers. Not only are they wireless but they also enable you to turn on and off the Xbox360 system simply by holding down a button on the controller. This is perfect if you have the controller stored beside your sofa as it means that you don’t have to get up anytime you feel like a game just to turn the system on. The lack of wires and 30 foot range on the controller makes sure that tripping over wires is a thing of the past. Gamers can move away from the console without risking knocking it down by pulling on a wire. The Xbox360 controller can even be used from the next room meaning gameplay is not limited to a small area directly in front of the console itself.
The controllers require two AA batteries in order to work and generally lasts for about 40 hours. This may sound long but a hardcore gamer should be prepared to buy plenty of extra batteries just in case. Alternatively, a play and charge cable is a great option for the people who just cannot stop playing their Xbox 360 as the controller can be used while charging. Another unique feature is the ability to plug a headset into the controller in order to access voice communication with other people online. There is even a guide button in the middle of the controller that is easy to use and provides access to the activities available on the console. When the controllers are turned on they are automatically selected to be first player, second player, etc.
What Is So Great About The Xbox360 Controller?
The Xbox360 controllers are brilliant inventions in more ways than one. The fact that they clear the clutter by making the use of wires obsolete is a clear advantage over the old version of controller. The way that they turn on the console is also pretty nifty. The playing range available to the controller makes the Xbox360 more accessible to use. The buttons are easy to use and the shape is more than comfortable in the hands. The headset feature is remarkably popular. The Xbox360 controller allows four people to play at once on the same console, again bringing to the fore the advantage of not using wires that get in everybody’s way. The memory cards no longer go into the controller, another good idea.
The few bad points about the Xbox360 controller can boil down to the size and weight of the controller. Because it draws its power from batteries, it is slightly bulkier and heavier than its counterparts. This can make them slightly awkward to use at first but the difference is easily forgotten about when the controller is used regularly. Most people who use the Xbox360 controller tend to use it regularly but this means that the batteries may need to be frequently changed or recharged. However, the controller does give some warning when the batteries are running low.

I only problem with the controller is that the batteries might not last very long.
